Should WHS’s Winter Break Have Been Longer?

A plea: From the Students.

Every year, aside from the summer break which could be considered an intermission, students at WHS anticipate the annual winter break: a period of frolicking, relaxation, and most importantly, vacationing. To the dismay of, dare I say the entire student body, an arduous return to the monotonous duties of a student loomed over all on the second of January—a mere one and a half weeks to enjoy all things winter break. To even be considered a break is generous; the“winter pause” would be a more suitable name for this short-lived of a break. To quote Winchester High School student Leo Wang: “There are many things that I do not like about school. Coming back to school is the worst, especially when I can barely start to relax before my alarm rings once again.”
